Doobies to Perform at Hong Kong Charity Event
The Doobie Brothers will be performing at a special charity event for the The Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Hong Kong (FCC). The FCC Annual Charity Ball is celebrating its 10th anniversary with what promises to be a sensational event on Saturday, October 8th 2011 at the Grand Hall of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The 1,500 guests will also be entertained by the troupe of performers from the Venetian Macau.
The Doobie Brothers are the latest in a long list of famous performers at the ball in years past, including the Beach Boys, Blondie, Sergio Mendes, the Charlie Daniels Band and Creedence Clearwater Revisited.
The FCC Annual Charity Ball is the major fundraising event of the FCC Charity Fund. Since 2002, it has raised more than HK$ 36 million to support the education of Hong Kong’s neediest children.
