There is a great photo of a latter day Pat with that guitar sitting on a Harley of the same color. At the begining of “Black Water” I think I see John Cowan send a jumping catfish over Pat and Tom’s head to John Mc Fee and then he sends it to Tom with his fiddle bow. Is this true or did I spend way too much time at Winterland?

The Doobies always rock! Seen them numerous times down here in Oklahoma, starting with the
fairwell tour in ’82. By the way guys, my hubby & I had the best suite in the hotel reserved and
when we got there the clerk said she had given the suite to someone else. We found it later it
was the Brothers that got our suite! Great show though! We never miss a show if they are anywhere
close! Going to buy the new album now.

Thanks…hey have the Doobies ever played one of their albums in its entirety live? I know Steely Dan and a few other bands have done this. I would to hear them do the Captain and Me. I would be great to hear Natural Thing, Ukiah, Captain and Me and Dark Eyed Cajun Woman done live.

I was there! This was the DB’s “last show”, right? At one time there was a VHS tape of this concert. My recollection was the thrill of seeing Tom Johnston back on stage with the band–and the noisy helicopter overhead filming the show for HBO.

Sorry for my ignorance in the prior message. I am now humbled to have discovered that the DVD for this concert was released in June. I’m ordering it today! We were there, but we’d never seen the HBO broadcast or the original DVD. Now my wife and I can relive that great show. Thank you!

Don’t let my email address fool you. The Doobie Brothers are 70′s classic rock personified. Their music
lives on through the ages because of the greatness of their songs vocally & instrumentally. I’ll never forget tripping out one weekend the summer of 1974 to “Old Black Water” and “Another Park Another Sunday”. I listened to both of these tunes over and over and love them both to this day for their performance and my crazy 70′s experience. Thank you Doobies for preserving classic rock so that it will never die. Bythe way, you have my vote too go into the ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME!!! Long long long overdue. Rock on brothers!!!

@ Tony from Liverpool. This DVD is available from Amazon in the UK but unfortunately it`s in NTSC format, so you`ll need to have a multi-region player or convert it to PAL.
