After returning home from Viet Nam I had the opportunity to go to my first Rock Concert. I had a great deal of trpidation for attending, until the music began, from that moment on I’ve been a Doobie Brothers fan! Some years later, I was graced with heading the Security for the Doobie’s in Pocatello, Id.
where I had the opportnity to meet Pat Simmons, Michael McDonald (filling in during Tom Johnson’s absents. For Father’s day my dughter gave me their latest CD “World gone wild”! I had no idea they had put out another CD! “Far from home” brought me to tears, for I too am facing my daughter’s spreeding her wings, and leaving the nest! Pat Simmons, you’ve been the beating heart of the Doobies, God willing there will be another 40 years of music form the Doobie Brother’s. In the interim I’ll continue “Listening to (your) music” ! . . . .
