Michael Hossack and Skylark – Update

6 May, 2011 (20:50) | News

A quick update from Doobie Brothers drummer Michael Hossack and touring bassist Skylark, both of whom are currently out on sick leave.

Mike is doing well after chemotherapy. He is in full remission at this time, and is getting his strength back. He plays drums daily in his home studio.

Skylark is doing therapy on a regular basis and is constantly gaining more strength. It is a slow process but he is very determined and is continually working on his recovery.

We’ll keep you posted as things progress with them.

Big Mike & Skylark,
I just want you to know I’m praying for your guys’ recovery. You two are an essential part of the Doobie Bros as far as I’m concerned, and it won’t feel “complete” until you guys get back. Get well soon and I hope to see you playing again in the very near future!

It’s nice to have some news on Mike and Skylark. As much as they’re missed I’m happy to report that the band is as tight and entertaining as ever. Saw you in Conn. and Tony and John have certainly found the groove. Great, great show!! All the best to Mike and Skylark as they work to regain their health.

Thanks for the update. Just saw the Doobies over the weekend in Atlantic City. The band was fantastic but of course I missed seeing “Big Mike” and Skylark. Your fill-in’s are doing a good job but I want you two to work on recovering and join the band where you belong. Love & Get Well Wishes go out to both of you – Angela “RoadAngel” – Brooklyn, NY

The special edition comes with a CD and a DVD. You need to put the DVD in a DVD player – it will not work in a CD player. Rest assured there is nothing wrong with your copy. :)
