A big thank you to Michael, Tommy & Pat for taking the time to give us (the fans) a wonderful insight into this album & the dynamics within the band during this transitional time. Awesome!

Interesting discussions with Michael, Tom and Pat. The band’s sound did change after the Streets album however, there were true Doobie songs interspersed throughout the remaining albums usually written by Pat, that frankly made you long for that Doobs sound. Thanks to all the Bros. for their great contribution to American made rock ‘n roll.

I remember the night I first heard Takin’ It To The Streets as a late night featured album on an FM radio station. With eager anticipation I put on the head phones, kicked back and then thought the DJ cued up the wrong album! No Tom Johnston! Where have my Doobie Brothers gone!!

If the band hadn’t continued on and taken a different musical direction I may have never have been open to musical styles beyond guitar rock. As a teenager you guys made it OK for me to experiment and expand my musical tastes. For the last 35 years I have amassed and enjoyed an amazingly diverse collection of recorded music and have attended hundreds of live performances. Thanks!

I remember buying the Doobies Taking it to the Street Album in the 70′s when I had a room in a friends apartment on Fitch Mountain in Healdsburg, CA. What a great time and the album brought out all the best of it. There is something about the doobie Brothers band that helps me “re live” those magical times in the 70′s. They were always singing about something new and everything then seemed new every day. I think the Doobies band is something that will be a part of Eternal Life!
