This video is awesome! I have watched it over and over since it was first posted on my facebook page. It's fun to see the old footage with the new. A touch of nostalgia with a celebrtion of the present! I know this CD should do great once it is released. Their music, like their fanbase is timeless! They sing for all the generations past and future. THanks for hanging in there guys! You will always ROCK!

The Eagles resurrected and re-recorded the song 'How Long' for their 2007 album 'Long Road Out Of Eden'. The song is originally from a 1972 J. D. Souther solo album, who has co-written some big hits with the band. The Eagles also performed 'How Long' during the 70's as well.

The Doobie Brothers in a way are doing the same thing as The Eagles as mentioned above with re-recording the 'Nobody' song which originally is from their 1971 self-titled album which did not chart, but has been performed in concert for awhile.

There is a song from Tommy's solo album (Still Feels Good) titled Last Desperado. I think this should be on the next CD. Can anyone tell me why this has not been included sooner? Or, why not performed live? It's a great song and Tommy sings it which so much feeling. Also love the harmony in the background. As I always sign off - Lots of Love, Angela "RoadAngel" xoxox

That's a party I'd go to. So much great music hiding behind the chestnuts. I've heard songs like This Train I'm On, Down in the Tracks and Double Dealin' Four Flusher in concert. Maybe someday the band will go through the archives and put together a live album of the great but rarely played songs.

I have thought about coming to the Bruce's/Doobs benefit shows ... I know that would be a great time. I wonder if, for us hard core fans, the Doobs would do, say, one set of the - excuse the expression - "Deep tracks". I am talking songs like: Natural Thing, Song to see you thru, This train I'm on (surprised this hasnt had its own success live - vocals are killer), 8th Ave Shuffle, Chinatown, Mamaloi, White Sun - that kind of thing. I know that would be a lot of additional rehearsing, but just a lifelong fan thinking outside the box. Doing, and advertising such a thing, at that venue would seem most appropriate - since my backyard is too small ;-) In keeping with the "heritage band" promo I think have heard Bruce mention, this could be really cool. "See Doobs perform songs that made their albums truly great" - there was no skipping the needle around when these records came out - just one great song after another. One additional idea: invite former members and session players on those songs to show e.g. Billy Payne. What do you think, hard-core fans?

Inspired choice for the new single, giving track 1 from your 1st album a 2010 makeover. It sounds great. Looking forward to your UK shows, got my ticket for Wolverhampton Civic Hall. I know you will play all the old "Chesnuts" as Tom calls them but looking forward to a few suprise too. How about Clear as the Driven Snow, or Dark Eyed Cajun Woman. It would be great to hear an instrumental too, how about Slat Key. Hey, whatever you play it will be an awsome night. See you in October
Regards Alan

Too bad it's not being released on August 15th - Tommy's Bday. Love the "new" sound of Nobody but also loved it back in 1972. Catch the band whenever you are in the tri-state area. Saw the show on 5/1 in Atlantic City, 7/10 at Jones Beach and looking forward to 11/19 at Westbury, NY. Never tire of your music. Great writing by Tommy and Pat. Will always be a Doobie fan - can't get enough - Lots of Love, Angela "RoadAngel" from Brooklyn, NY xoxox
