DOOBIE BROTHERS TO RELEASE FIRST ALBUM IN A DECADE

WORLD GONE CRAZY BOWS SEPT. 28; TOUR NOW UNDERWAY

(WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.) The music of the Doobie Brothers has been a huge part of the American soundtrack for more than 40 years, as the tens of thousands singing along at their nightly standing-room-only shows can attest. And with the Sept. 28 release of World Gone Crazy on HOR Entertainment, Pat Simmons, Tom Johnston, John McFee and Mike Hossack will add another great chapter to their songbook.

“Nobody,” the album’s first single, will bow at multiple radio formats later this summer. The song continues a tradition established in 1971 with the release of The Doobie Brothers, which initiated a lineage of timeless singles that starts with “Listen To The Music” and runs through “China Grove,” “Long Train Runnin’,” “Black Water,” “Take Me In Your Arms,” “Rockin’ Down The Highway,” and many, many more.

World Gone Crazy will show the Doobie Brothers to be as engaged as ever with the culture around them. Once again, they are applying their unique ability to marry grooves, hooks, harmonies and lyrics into an effortlessly comfortable yet subtly intense collection of songs. Their music is so genuine and appealing it’s almost easy to miss just how prodigious they are as musicians, writers and vocalists.

And the July 23 tour stop at the Hullabalou Music Festival in Louisville, KY will highlight that unique connection the Doobie Brothers have to the world of music. Also on the bill that night at Churchill Downs are Train, the hugely popular band whose current album includes the smash single “Hey, Soul Sister.” Additionally, Train’s collection incorporated a portion of the classic hit “Black Water” into their song “I Got You.” So the Doobies, and Train, just keep rolling on with great American music.

Has anybody noticed that since the “official” details of the new album have been released that there has been absolutely no mention of the DVD that was to accompany it? Is the DVD no longer part of the package?

It has been discussed in the most recent interviews. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.

Man, this new – old song is fantastic!!! I am a huge fan. You will get airplay from this record. Ted is back too! That is so cool. He is a great producer. But this band is one of the great American rock bands of all time. And this music is long overdue. Let’s see if rock stations have the balls to pick this up. They should since 80% of what they play sucks. You guys still got it.

Bring it on – waited a long time for this one. Already love 3 of the tracks – World Gone Crazy, Back to the Chateau and of course “Nobody”. If you haven’t seen The Doobie Brothers in concert please catch a show in your area. I guarantee SATISFACTION. Hope to see Skylark and Big Mike this November at Westbury, NY. I LOVE THIS BAND AND ALWAYS WILL – “RoadAngel”

I grew up with these guys in the 70′s and hearing that song “Nobody” that is the real Doobie Brother sound that I knew from the 70′s. What a great song. I have to get this CD as soon as it is in the stores and that T-shirt. The guitar sound, drums, excellet!!!! I am in the Army and I hope the get on a USO tour someday. I am there for sure. Thanks guys for such great music, you are like a fined wine. The older you get the better you are. This classic rock is so much better then what is out today. No comparison.
