Very cool! I bet you’d do it ALL over again! I know I would. This is more than nostalgic, it’s a bit of rock and roll history. Thanks for the DVD preview.

What more can we say – you guys are the Best. Enjoyed the show in Atlantic City on 5/1, Jones Beach on 7/10 and looking forward to 11/19 at Westbury. Never miss a show in the Tri-state area. Never tire of the music of the Doobie Brothers. Absolutely love “Nobody” now and loved it then – all those years ago. Hopefully at the Westbury show Big Mike and Skylark will be on stage where they belong. Tommy sounds sooooo good. Can’t get enough. Lots of Love – Angela “RoadAngel” xoxox

Awesome! We’ve been waiting a very long time for this to happen. As usual, great harmonies and in typical Doobie-style, easy on the eyes and ears. Thank you, gentleman! This put a smile on my face today.

I love the watery sound of the dobro in the intro to this primordial tune. Resurrecting “Nobody” and constructing this AWESOME montage of vintage footage is by far, one of the most creative and entertaining productions in Doobie Brothers’ history! From the concert footage of the young Doobies, right down to the “Mississippi Mooning”, this video is destined to become a VH1 classic for sure!

Guys–we never miss you when you are in Va. Been waiting for that new CD for a long time–and this kickoff with “Nobody” is just superb. Tom is THE voice of rock music and the song is wonderfully produced. Damn it is just so kind to the ears. Cant wait for the CD and to get your music playin’ on the radio again–whats on there now is pitiful and you are STILL the breath of fresh air it needs. We often wonder if you really know how good the Doobies are and how much joy you bring. Please don’t ever stop making your music. It would leave a huge hole. You keep bringin’ it and we’ll keep comin’–and that’ s a fact!

NOBODY does it better than the Doobie Brothers.
I am looking forward to the release of the CD (DVD?) in September.
Have not been to a show in over a year. Time for a road trip.
Hope to see you soon.

My wife and I were at the Starlight Theater in KC Sunday July 18, where the Doobie’s played 3 cuts from the new CD…PURE DOOBIE’S, absolutely PURE DOOBIE”S…there is no other sound like this band. There are few things in life that you can count on, but right now one of those is a Doobie Brothers CD…will be waiting with CD player open (yes I am old school) to slip the new disc in and hit play. Keep playing Brothers…thanks for the Music.

Uffff… this gave me goosebumps!!!
I can’t wait for the new album. I know this song is almost 40 years old but now it sounds… revitalized. It’s got new energy and the video enhace it. How I’d love to watch this on MTV or some other channel like that. I know it’s almost impossible but dreaming is free. If something like that happened then It would be the triumph of the real rock n roll.
Greetings from Argentina!
Emanuel.

Caught your show in St.Louis, Mo and it was great you really have some energy, which is what is missing in alot of bands today. I loved how you involved the audience. Age has nothing on your I rocked to you as a teenager and still at 51 I am still doing it. Would love to see you again. I wish I had a pic with you and autographs. The funny thing is that I watched you years ago and now I am sharing your concert with my 21 year old daughter. Great, can’t wait to hear the new cd.

Loved the video (nice moon shot) and the song. Your sound gets better and better. Saw the Doobies for the first time at a concert at Pine Knob this year, and was wowed by them. Loved the energy (especially Tom’s), enthusiasm , and you can tell they really enjoy what they are doing. Keep doing what your doing!

Guys, the video is brilliant! I love the mix of old & new footage — the now & then clips of Tommy, Pat & John. God bless Keith. It’s great to see Ti as well. As several contributors wrote, “the video gave me goosebumps.” Thank you so much for continuing to produce such wonderful music that lives up to the very high standards of the Doobie Brothers.

Just watched your new video. My husband and I did not follow your group until a few years ago (we’re in our 50′s and 60′s now), so it was great to see your old footage blended in with new ones. The sound is solidly “Doobie Brothers” and we are thrilled about your upcoming CD release. We’ll see you at Westbury in November too. Just keep on playing. Best wishes to Skylark too. Miss him much and our prayers are with him and Mike.

I saw first the Doobies in 1972 at the Capitol Theatre in Passiac NJ, and have seen them live at least 20 times over the last 40 years. I have everything the have every recorded and am a professinal musican myself as is my brother, as was my dad. My taste in music is very diverse, but NO BAND holds a candle to the Doobies. They have transcended time, pace and genres over the years. Tom Johnston is getting better with age. Just saw him at the Arts Center in NJ a few weeks ago…..unreal!! He was in full voice and in the zone. Love the new tunes they debuted. Looking forward to many more years with this great, timeless, awesome band.

I am equally impressed with the music video for the newest version of “Nobody”. There’s snippets of footage catching the Doobies on tour; the road, the dressing room, and the stage. I do recognize most of the faces in the video: Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons, John McFee, Michael Hossack, Ed Toth, John Cowan, they’re all here in one tidy circle! I’ll be around to see “World Gone Crazy” in the record store!

Wow! What an awesome video! I loved how the old footage with interwoven with the new – sort of took you full circle from the early days of the Doobie Brothers – back when we were all young and crazy to now… although maybe not so young or crazy we still know and love to rock. Great job guys! Looking forward to this new release. Thank so much for all these many years of great great music!

Great vidoe!!
As I look at some of th older footage, it’s great to see Tiran on the bass.
I may have been in the audience on some of those “old” shots of days gone by.

Wow. Ted Templeman returns to his old form here. The Doobies will make some noise with this record. Classic rock stations may have to play this because it will be likely too good to ignore. This could be the album that wakes up an entire medium. Lets hope HOR entertainment is as committed as they claim. This is the quintessential American rock band.

Old and New. What a great accompanying video melding the past with the present. I didn’t recognize John McFee in the first few video quick cuts. lol. Join the crowd John. The old clips made me want to see some sort of DVD with a Mid 70′s full concert, somewhere around the time of Vices & Habits. Perhaps you can dig up some footage of the Skunk days as well. Good Luck. Looking forward to the show in Spokane.

This so so great! Love the new song. I will be at the concert at the casino near Tulsa Oklahoma a few days before the album comes out at stores. I am hoping that I can get the CD there and get it signed. I hope the guys get well soon. My friends and I will be praying for them. I have been a huge fan for almost 40 years. Seen you guys in concert at least 11 times. In 6 states. I have all the albums and dvds. This is the most I have been excited to get a new album since I can remember. Doug

I have a good feeling about this tune. The hook is simple and strong; the bg vocals are smooth classic Doobies (reminds me of Eyes of Silver); there is that warm “wooden” sort of sound that characterized a lot of your stuff, and the blastix drum sticks (I’m guessing on that one) are a nice touch too. I am a player and songwriter today largely because of your influence on my young ears back in 19…ah…19…something or other. Best of luck guys. Keep on rocking down that old highway.
