MY FAVORITE BAND ALWAYS - love you all so very much. My own band is a classic rock medley band and we have two medleys of the Doobie Bros. I just wish I could see you again! When you come to Grand Rapids, Michigan, the only place you play is Fredrick Meijer Gardens, and all the people who have memberships there ALWAYS buy all the tickets before they go on sale to the public -so there really is no selling to the public- so sad to miss you every time. PLEASE book at the Van Andel, or come to my house and do a concert :-) My own kids love you too! I have to tell you that there are times I NEED to hear a Doobie song so badly, when I am down, having a hard time, I am always made to feel so much better when I hear you - thank you so much - Laurie (Elle)

My wife and I really enjoyed the show you put on with Chicago (the band) here in St. Louis. Definitely will purchase the new CD when release. You guys really put on a heck of a concert! Curious how you guys travel these days. Do you have a tour bus on do you fly? Can't wait to see you all again, Tom, John, Marc and Pat you guys really rock! Kudos to the drummer and keyboard player too!
Thanks again for a very enjoyable night!

Mark the critic. I understand your comments about Nobody, but I think you are way off on Sibling Rivalry. I think there are some real gems on that album with some amazing lyrics, especially songs that highlighted Keith and John. Don't Be Afraid is a great song and I was lucky enough to hear it live in Stamford CT at the Palace Theater, along with Rocking Horse. Sibling Rivalry is one of those CDs that you leave in your car and just play over and over as it gets you into a dreamy state (at least it got me into one). Everyone is entitled to an opinion so don't take this as criticism, but I am sure that all of us can find technical issues with most songs. The true test for me is whether the song continues after it ends, that is, does the sound evoke a change of mind set and set you free. For me, that is the essence of this band, an irrevocable, continuous journey of soothing sound that raises my pulse while it quiets my mind. Peace to all.

I like the update. Adding dobro was a nice touch and I think the instruments sound more polished. I always like this song and thought it didn't get it's due. So with that, I'm really hoping I can dredge up some tix for the Salt Lake show. Somehow I managed to be asleep at the switch when they went on sale and now it's a sell-out. It's a great venue, too - Red Butte Gardens above the Univ. of Utah; one the Doobs have never played here. Can't wait for that show and can't wait for 9/28.

Thanks Dave, Mark for bringing this to my attention. I have listened to this concert before and like Mark I will revisit it again. This is the earliest recorded public performance that I am aware of. (Not sure if this was on the tail end of their Mothers and Brothers tour). It is fasincating to listen to their early performance (unfortunately this concert does not appear to have been recorded in full), nonetheless, you can definitely hear some of the beginnings of the doobie's sound; those trade mark riffs and licks that would propel the group to greater things in the years to come. I believe the group was in the process of recording Toulouse Street around the same time as this concert, and then followed the personnel changes with Dave Shogren departing and Mike Hossack and Tiran Porter comming on board to complete the new lineup and the remainder of the Touslouse Street albumn.

You're coming to WESTBURY in November! WOWOWOW! We saw you guys and Chicago at Bethel Woods 2 or 3 years ago and we've been HOOKED ever since. Now you'll be on Long Island (and protected from the rain!) and I can't wait!

NOBODY sounds terrific - another Doobie classic for sure! Congrats on your upcoming CD. We'll be eagerly awaiting it's release. See you folks in November!
