I was there, took my two sons with me 19+23. Doobies opened and after their set, I asked what they thought. Response was “they were awsome” and “best concert I ever attended”. Both want to attend the Niagara Falls show later this month. Haven’t seen Bad Co. in concert since 1976. Paul Rodgers and co. rocked the house.
Thanks Doobies for all the great music over the years. Been a fan since The Captain and Me days.
All the Best.

Looking forward to seeing the Doobs in Evansville on July 31. I’m wondering if there will be an opening act. I saw the Doobies with Chicago last year; it was a great show, but it left me wanting more from the Doobies. So I kind of hope the Doobies play a long show by themselves.

I saw you guys a few weeks ago in Charlotte with Bad Co. on 6/20. I have loved you guys since the 1975 Stampede album when I was 13 years old and I must say you guys are the best Rock & Roll Band in the history of all Rock Music. I did wish that you guys would have been the main act for the night but Bad Company did surprise me with their show. It was great to see Michael Hossack back on the drums again at the show. I look forward to seeing you guys again in Greenville, SC in October. I have seen over 30 shows since the Cycles tour in 1989 and you all just get better and better! Please keep on Rockin Down the Highway! I’ll see you guys in October and can’t wait for the new CD as well! Thank you so much for all of the great music….the 70’s still live through all of you fantastic musicians!

Hope the show includes Neal’s Fandango, that was the 1st Doobie’s track I heard back in 75 and I have been hooked eversince. Looking forward to the new album, see you Sept 12th

THANK YOU DOOBIES for coming to upstate NY! Saw the great show at Palace Theater in Albany. Now can’t wait for the show in Saratoga, (with Allman Bros, but I’m going for the Doobies) The shows never disappoint, if only they could play a full length set when playing with another band. (I don’t get them OPENING for Bad Company, though…they should headline…and be co-headliners with Allmans…) Let’s get the great Doobies into the R&R hall of fame already!

Took a long-time buddy of mine to the July 22nd show at the Avalon in Niagara Falls. It was a gift to my friend who was celebrating his 50th birthday. Known each other since high school and a big part of our common ground included the music of the Doobie Brothers. I’ve seen you guys a couple of times before but it was my friends first show. He was blown away. His comment afterward was “this music never grows old, it’s as vibrant today as the first time I heard it.” I couldn’t agree more. And I just have to add, even though it’s not one of your originals, “Don’t Start Me Talkin’” was amazing. Niagara Falls loves the Doobies, please, PLEASE, come again, and often.

For those of us fortuante enough to see the Doobies on their 2009 tour what a treat.
I caught the show at Niagara falls Ont. and let me tell you what a show the sound quailty was the best i have heard every one was on their game and what a show they put on.
I have seen them play several times and this show takes top spot.
Their act was polished and they treated us to s song or 2from the soon to be realeased album’CD i think every one will enjoy what is yet to come.
Pat jr got up and joined the band for a song and true to form is a chip off the block.
Once again thanks guys for putting on a show that made my summer.
PAt had made mention the new recording album has yet to be mamed but a few thoughts came to my mind and Doobie Brothers” Signature Series “comes to mind.
If you have a chance to see these guys get out there and get your tickets trust me they won’t let you down.

Sharing the stage with top draws like the Allman Brothers, Bad Co. Chicago etc does bring the Doobies music to a wider audience and that’s great! But after seeing you with Bad Co. I can’t help but feel you got short changed. Much of the audience wasn’t in their seats when the band came on and you guys had to really work it to pull the crowd into the show.
The set is a little too short, though I don’t know if that’s your choice or a limitation placed on you by promoters or the venue. A few more deep cuts for the longtime fans would be great!
You guys aren’t a warm up band! As the main event your full length show pretty much smokes the “headliners” I’ve seen you perform with over the years. Maybe the new album helps to put you back on top of the bill where you belong, though I do love seeing you alone in a small venue, up close and personal. Incredible energy!!

I today played the whole of the box set Doobie Collection as i chilled at home, as it served as a reminder of the great quality i’m missing.. All you folks in the USA and Canada are so lucky to see them in the flesh, wether supporting or headlining, you get the real deal.. I just want to take out a loan and fly over and hear the music live.. I’m praying that a european tour might be on the agenda when the new album hits the streets, you’ll hear my screams of joy from across the water, even if you play for one gig.. So once again i’ll leave you all to tell me how great the gigs are, or who is lucky enough to be looking forward to the next one.. Tom, Pat and all, keep it live always!! ps.. Anyone with a spare few dollars and gig ticket feel free to send them to…. lol.

Hey Guys,
Thank you, thank you for including Evansville on your concert tour. I had the best time tonight. Your music was absolutely exquisite! What incredible musicianship from the first to the last – total team work, every kick, every harmony, every solo was the kind of mastery that reaches all the way to my soul. Music of this caliber is rare and each of you, individually and collectively, brought me to my feet. My hands are still tingling from clapping all night long.
Michael, so glad you are well – you and Ed made an awesome, rock-solid team on the drums. Skylark was a delightful addition. His enthusiasm brought an extra touch of joy to the performance. Marc Russo – Wow! All I can say is I’ve been married to a great saxophonist for years and you had him in your pocket from your first solo; just great licks, and a super sound! Tom, Patrick, John – you guys are what real music is all about. Great songwriters, exciting musical solos demonstrating your mastery of the instruments and the part that made me fall for your music in the 70’s – tight strong vocals and vocal harmonies. John, your versatility really shone on violin, harmonica, vocals, guitar; I bet there is so much more and we only got to see the tip of the iceberg. Tom, I was on my feet from the first song – and you had us all on our feet before long which is quite a feat for this Evansville audience. If we didn’t stand soon enough, it was only out of courtesy for the folks behind us; we really enjoy just kicking back and digging the heck out of what we’re hearing! And we did! And Guy – man, I could have listened to you on keys all night long. In fact, I probably will. Your solos were the kind everyone who ever dreams of playing a piano wishes they could produce. It was magical – and mastery; so much so, I doubt most in the audience had no idea what they were getting. It would have been a bargain at twice the price. And lastly, Pat – your son did you proud! I enjoyed his warm-up show. He cute, and a real comer; well done!
Lastly, thank you for the music that has been a great influence in my life as a musician for over three decades. I didn’t get to meet you after the show, but your songs, your music, your solos, your vocals, your harmonies and your total professionalism are what brought me out to see you tonight and I left feeling like I’d spent the evening with old friends who’ve been with me for years. Best wishes for a great tour. I’m looking forward to the next album!
With best regards and deepest respect,
JR Schembre

I saw the Doobie Brothers at Wolf Trap this June. What a great show it was.
I have been to numerous revival concerts and always feel fortunate if the band can play up to par on one or two songs. The Doobie Brothers just blew me away. When I closed my eyes and listened to the music I thought I was back in college in the 70’s. Incredible!!!!!!! They sounded just as good as they did back then. I guess “Doobie Brothers” never die, they just keep “Rockin down the highway”.
I can’t wait to see them again.

My beautiful wife of almost 30 years and I saw the Doobie Brothers at Mesker Amphitheatre in Evansville, IN and they were simply awesome. Everyone in the band were real musicians playing at a 110% and they never missed a lick all night. They played all their great songs from the early years plus a few new songs. It was one of the best concerts we have ever been to. We highly recommend everyone young and old to go “Listen to the Music “and I promise it will keep you will “Rockin Down the Highway” forever.

Saw the Doobie Brothers at Ravinia Festival on August 3rd. Somewhat disappointed that Patrick Simmons did not sing much. It seems like he gave all his solo time to his son Patrick Jr. who opened the show. As a result, too many of the old greats were missed. Another Park, South City and more of Patrick’s classics were not sung?
Tom Johnson was great. full of energy and loving the Ravinia audience. I admire Pat’s ambition for Jr’s music, but I really missed the older Pat’s mellow voice.

Saw the Doobie’s in Columbus in July. Went with my wife, my 23 year old son, and 18 year old daughter. We are avid fans and have been to shows together before Accompanin gus were a couple of 20-somethings and a 30-something I work with. None had ever seen the Doobie Brothers perform. They all wlaked away in amazement saying it was the best show they had ever seen. No fancy lights, no pyro-technics, just great rock-n-roll music. I hope the Doobie Brothers make Columbus, OH a regular tour stop. The LC was packed and I know it will be the same again next summer.

Hey Patrick! I just wanted to say hello and thank you for being so hospitable at the Buffet in Belterra, Indiana. My wife and I were having dinner and I sent over a note from the waitress and asked if you might say hello. Very gracious on your part especially with your family. We have seen you in several cities including Indianapolis serveral times and our first time in Lakeland, Florida when Tommy Johnston was not traveling with you. That night in Lakeland you climbed up on a mountain of amps that must have been at least 30 feet high…Wow! I also remember you bringing your son Patrick out on stage at Deercreek Music Center several years ago with Lynard Skynard. Thanks again and know we will always come to see you when you are any place near. By the way, I sure am glad my story with meeting you did not end like the Robert Lamm story I told you. Saw the Brothers in Gilford, NH Sunday 08/13. Packed house and the Doobies rocked it. What a great show!! Tons of energy, they played to the crowd and all their fans responded. (6000 plus singing Black Water was cool!!) The Doobie Brothers remain terrific musicians and showmen. Pat and Tom are still in excellent voice, and the gang continues to make beautiful harmony. Tons of the old stuff that we love, mixed with some blues and some new material. Looking forward to the new release. Oh, Tom and Pat came out to play with Steve Miller and that was a nice treat! I had the pleasure to see the Doobs and Lara Johnston last night at MTN Winery. I had wondered if Lara had been playing nearby and sure enough she was the opening act. She and her band were just terrific. From her original materiel to early Michael Jackson her range and stage presence is great – and she is someone to be proud of. It was a treat to see her band and their young guitarist who is excellent. I was lucky to say hello have a signed CD from such a great new artist.
The Doobies looked like they had a great evening as well and the Rock & Roll was superb. After some of the tunes all I could do was laugh. The music was so good it was incredible. Their brand of rock & roll sooths my heart and warms my soul. The crowd was great last night.

Not seen the band live since 1994 but you guys still know how to Rock-n-Roll. The energy was none stop right from the opening ‘Take Me In Your Arms’ to ‘Listen to the Music’. Hoping to catch the show at PNC – New Jersey in August. Lots of Love & keep the music coming – Angela “RoadAngel” Moraglia
