Drummer Michael Hossack Returns to the Doobie Brothers
The Doobie Brothers and their fans are now celebrating the triumphant return of drummer Michael Hossack, who was sidelined by an injury in a taxi cab accident in the summer of 2008, forcing him to sit out for half a year worth of shows.
In between tour dates, the band is currently in the studio working on their upcoming full-length album, which marks the return of the longtime Doobie Brothers producer Ted Templeman. 15 songs have been written for this release.
We’ll keep you posted with updates regarding the album and tour as information becomes available!

Just saw this week you guys will be playing with Bad Company on a number of dates. Thinking of going down to Yasgur’s Farm for the Bethel Woods show and to pay homage to the site of Woodstock on the 40 year anniversary. Now that’s a great show at a historic venue. Great to see you’re back, Mike.

Doobie alum Mike Mc D is playing The NJ Festval of Ballooning in Readington, NJ July 26th at 3:00PM.
I’ve Seen Grand Funk, Dave Mason, Eddie Money, and The Doobies there, and the sound is outstanding.
The concerts are free with the purchase of a ticket to the Balloon Festival. An extra $35 gets you into a seated area closer to the stage.
Bring a lawn chair, listen to the music and watch the balloons launch around 6:00PM.

Saw the Doobies in Albany last night. In a word, AWESOME! Seeing you guys just never gets old. The house rocked from the get go. The energy level was off the charts. Great set list and some surprises for everyone. I won’t spoil the fun. I’ll just say this summers tour is a must see for Doob fan, old and new alike! Bring the kids.
It was great to see Mike back behind the drums! Thanks guys!

I agree Dave. The Doobs are better then ever ! The 1 1/2hrs flew bye, leaving the crowd in Easton wanting more. One of the highlights was the new song “Back to the Chateu” from the upcoming CD.
A couple of old faves were omitted this tour, but with nearly 40 yrs of tune, what to leave in, what to leave out.
Can’t wait for the PNC show with The Allmans!

I just saw the Doobies with Bad Co. at the DTE in Detroit, and though the music was absolutely great, I seriously wanted to go over to the sound board and SMACK the “Sound Man???” in the head. The kick was just a tad overbearing, and you could not hear Skylark’s Bass at all. I’ve worked as a sound man for many different bands over the past 20 years, and this guy should be ashamed to call himself one. But still, the show was great, the vocals were right on, and it very much shows that nobody in the Doobies has lost a step. They sound as great as they did in the 70’s. I don’t mean to sound overly critical, but I am very particular about how a band sounds. And if there is someone in the band that is not being heard, then it takes just a little bit away from the show. Consequently, we did hear the bass player for Bad Co.
