Karrie & I just saw you guys in Tahoe on July 26th. We hope & pray for a full-speedy recovery for you. Karrie loves the drumstick you gave her after the show. I had to laugh, she looked at it and said, “Man, he beats the hell out of these things!!” very cool-thanks Mike! I have been a fan since the days of The Chateau in Los Gatos and especially since the day in Watsonville when “Big O-Oscar Harris” introduced me to you guys when you, Tommy,Pat,John & Tiran were all on the stage to play a couple of songs before you decided to get back together. I have been a loyal fan of The Original Doobies since. You guys gave a GREAT performance in Tahoe. Karrie was right in front of you with the camera. She got some excellent shots of you guys-it was great watching you all!! God Bless–Steve & Karrie Miramontes

Roseburg, OR, August 6, 2008 – Saw the Doobies, came up from S.J. in the last row of the paid seats… Had a roll of 24 (and wished me had more). The show was spectacular and noticed the empty drum riser in the middle of the stage; a speed recovery for the Mike man. I’ll try to catch up with you guys somewhere on the circuit – ouch baby hurt me. Rock on! Go to my site, check the pics, let me know if there are any hangs.

What a wonderful year! I got to see the best rock and roll band in history TWICE!!! First at Little Creek Casino, then at Mary(downpour)moor Park in Redmond. It was like a minature Woodstock what with the rain, mud and awesome music. Wasn’t able to take my children to the casino concert so got tickets for Marymoor Park concert and we had a blast. Living in the northwest taught me long ago to go prepared so I had tarps, umbrellas and ponchos for all; I pity those who didn’t because the skys opened up on us for two hours. I feel so blessed to have had the chance to see my favorite band and have my kids with me to learn why I rave about the Doobies so much, now they’re hooked too. Already burned two discs of music for both, a combination of hits from all their albums and the house has been ROCKIN for the last two days! Thanks to all the Doobies, past and present, for being such a positive and wonderful companion on this trip around the sun. Big Mike, the world awaits your recovery with lots of prayers and best wishes, can’t wait to hear the doubles again, two drum sets-AWESOME!!! 4EVERAFAN, Steve Hewitt

Hey guys – I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the concert the other night at Tama Casino in Iowa. We have been through a very hard time with my son who is 21and just diagnosed with testicular cancer, then we lost all of our possessions and our home in the flood in New Hartford Iowa in June. So, my brother and I traveled down to see you. I laughed, cried and rocked. I thought I was too old to rock but you taught me that music is not generational – it is in our hearts and souls. Mike was mentioned several times in the concert and we know he was missed. I was sad to lose my doobies CDs in the flood so will have to try to replace them online. P. S. – I realy enjoyed John McFee – he is amazing.

Saw you in Chicago, missed you but saw the gang in the small town of Warsaw and hope to see all soon again.

Just heard you guys were coming to the Florida flatlands in November and checked your website. I hope this email finds Mike doing well. I catch you guys every time your down this way since age 16 on the Vices tour when you brought the house down in Jacksonville, Fl. My Doobie highlight was the 30 year gathering in Saratoga Heights back in 2000. The band were so gracious to the fans in attendance. You’ve always taken good care of us.

My next great Doobie Brother junket is Cleveland Ohio when the people at the Rock and Roll hall of Fame pull their collective heads out of their _ _ _ and recognize one of the true giants of American Rock.

Hope to see you in Melbourne Mike. Can’t wait to see the rest of you. jeff Leukel

Tommy;
I have an idea. Since you are coming to the Ribfest in St. Pete; why not book in Ruth Eckerd Hall? I am convinced that a coffee-house style concert with a lot of acoustic music would be well received. Kind of an intimate, kick your shoes off, kind of concert. Playing some of the old stuff and the “hits” in their acoustic beginnings. Then a short intermission and close the show out with an electric set.

I missed out on an opportunity to meet y’all and would like another invitation.

Keep on rockin’!
