After watching you grow up on stage with your dad, I have been waiting till the day came when you were the opening act as well as continuing to play with the band….haven’t been able to catch the solo you after all these years, but am looking forward to it!! My grandsons, you might remember, Alex and Cody they were always with me, and have lots of photos of all you guys hanging out skateboarding in Hampton Colisium and just hanging out together after gigs…thanks for your kindness to them!! OK JR., so sorry to get this comment in so late. Here we go, I just got off the phone with your father, he says you are having a great time learning at college. You are going on your second semester, cool. Let me just say that you were way above the expectations I had of seeing you preform. After talking with you and your dad the day of the show at lunch. You told me you had a glitch the night before in San Diego, I was looking for that “SO CALLED GLITCH”, all I saw in the set was that you were solid for your second show. After you got done, I yelled out “Junior”, your father heard it and I think you did too. Any way’s, see you soon and will be waiting for an encore on the same level of prformance. (No pressure here!) G

Is it possible that Pat, Jr. may open at the Newport News, Va concert? Sure hope so! We have seen him onstage during Listen to the Music from the time he was not much bigger than the guitar he was playing. I would love to hear him play, it sounds like he has a good set to the audience to enjoy!

I so much enjoyed Pat Simmons junior on stage with Lara Johnson last fall at the BR Cohn (Woodstock) event. His songs were so original and pure. There was one that was especially exceptional about life and time.
I feel blessed to have seen them “before” they are famous and all sold out! Good luck to the new kids – better every day!

Gosh, you are such a talent. I really loved your harp playing in Maui, but your voice and picking ROCK!
Congrats, Pat…I’m proud of you too and wish I could see you in action at BRCohn. I guess school does have priority over gigs…for now anyway.

We were lucky enough to have front row seats for the first night at the Winery. I have to say that Pat Jr’s set was wonderful, loved the original, the Dylan cover,and especially redemption song, but I have to agree with the other writer that the Django Reinhardt song with dad was very special indeed; I noticed that you were both playing the same brand of instrument, but different models…what brand is it??? Also, it was so cool to see you and was that Tommy’s daughter? come back out for the encore…all in all, a great night…unforgettable.. hope to see ya around santa cruz soon..

Is it possible to have another Doobie brothers kid on Rock the cradle.
Pat we will have to wait until the 2009 Doobie tour in Ontario Canada to hopefully hear your music.

I was fortunate enough to be at the Saratoga gig 24 July and catch Pat Jr’s set. I had to admire the relative ease with which he moved between musical genres…a bit of Dylan and even a bit of Marley. A self-penned composition he performed clearly demonstrates he has the goods as a singer/songwriter. For me,however, the closing duet with Pat Snr featuring a Django Reinhardt tune was the highlight and a joy to hear.
