As a young guitarist, I loved Glen Campbell and sang may of his songs. I still have several of his albums. Gentle on My Mind, Witchita Lineman, Galveston are some of my favorite songs. I think it is great that John is working with Glen. He is such an awesome musician. They both are! I just saw Kenny Rogers in concert last month; I don't know why the Doobies have not bee on CMT Crossroads as they do some great bluegrass and country songs, they had Michael McDonald who is great, but I sure cannot think of any country songs that he has performed.
Well, back to subject, I'm happy for you, John! But, I also believe Glen is lucky to have you playing with him!

I have been a follower of the Doobs for years. Covered a lot of their tunes. My kind of music. Had a chance to see them at Wawbash, In. It wa great to see them again. Of course they were on top of their game. I would like to mention that P A system was not up to their standards. I was disapointed in the mix. No drums, strings in and out of the mix and vocals in and out. I am not complaining but The guys deserve much better. They are icons and deserve to presented at a higher level mix wise.

What fun to work with such an amazing artist. :)

It was nice to meet you on the plane from Omaha on Monday. (We chatted hard drives.) Let me know if you need photography... or cello. :)

Glen Campbell has been such a great artist over the years with songs of life and adventure. John and Glen working together should provide some great music and songs. These guys can play!
Seeing the Doobie Brothers Band has always been emotional for me because they represent the life "many" of us wish we had - playing rock & roll. Their music cannot be easily classified. They somehow connect blues and rock to the spiritual essence of why we are all here and that we wouldn't be here without love.
There is "something" very eternal about them. I am amazed at how well they play.
My only problem is that when I see them, I want to quit my job and just stay with them!

Hi Doobies, I find it very important to send you Bros. a note, to let you all know ,That your concert at Humpreys by the bay was , the best yet. I was so impressed by the guy who was on the stage before the concert began, auctioning off the guitar, for a great charity. What a salesman he was.and to think he could or shall I say have no problem bidding the guitar for 10,000. That was only the beginning of a GREAT concert. I am so grateful that I am so Fortunate to see you Bros. everytime you come to San Diego. It takes me at least a good week to come down for the natural high you give me. Thanks Again and please keep up the AWESOME music. Sincerely, Ed Ryans, Little sister,Theresa Weis. God Bless and Rock ON

I find it very interesting that despite having a very busy schedule being on the road and away from your families that you still find time to participate with others in the music industry.
It is ovious to me that together or alone the depth of the Doobie Brothers talent runs very deep.
It must be an honour to be able to play with other musicians and branch out and try new endevors.
Glen Campbell is a favourite of mine as well.
Keep up the great work John.

I just purchased tickets for the August 4 show in Eureka. I am a life-long fan of The Doobie Brothers and grew up listening to your music. You are my favorite rock band of all time, and "Without You" and "Ukiah" are two of my favorite songs ever. I've met some famous people in my life and it was no big deal, but several years ago when Tom and Pat walked by me at the end of a gig on some wharf in the City, I had goosebumps. There's just something about childhood idols...If I could ever meet you guys my life would be complete. I taught in the Bay Area for many years and when I read that you guys played gigs for a school in Marin I couldn't believe it. What a lucky school! Thanks for all the great memories and incomparable music. I truly believe that you have not received the accolades you deserve. I'll be in the second row...
