Fabulous news that The Doobie Brothers have been in the studio with Ted Templeman. 28 years is a long time!and I’m really looking forward to hearing the results. I wanted,as a callow youth of 16, to see the Doobies at The Rainbow in London in the mid-Seventies but couldn’t. Any plans for G.B.? Hello to Pat and Tom, I’ve loved your music for a long time. Great to hear you are working with Ted Templemen again! I hope the band would also invite some alumni into the studio to jam a bit (i.e. Mike & Jeff) on a few tunes as well. That would mean a lot to the fans.

Your biggest GA fans are anxiously awaiting the new CD and the tour. Please come back again to the Atlanta area in ‘08. I have seen 16 shows over the years and my wife has seen 7, beginning at the old Capital Center in Landover MD in 1974 and several shows in the old Omni in Atlanta. We will keep coming as long as you keep playing. All of you guys past and present have strongly enriched and enhanced our lives with the best music ever.

This very exciting news i cant wait to hear your new material and see the new DVD. One thing that i find disturbing is how the Rock &Roll hall of Fame is lacking the vision of one of Rock & Roll biggest acts that has been tested by time and adversity and is still going strong.
I personally would like to say that it is long over do to be paid the respect and recognition that the band deserves.
Keep on Rockin Guys

See our website and let’s do it ! Sincerely………Tom

We saw Chicago and the Doobies when they toured together in the mid-90’s. Michael McDonald was even touring with them that summer. We’ve seen the last few Chicago tours with Earth, Wind, and Fire;Huey Lewis and the News; and America. Each time the two bands played some songs together, and those songs were really great. Imagine Bill Champlin singing Takin’ It to the Streets. or Tommy Johnston singing Beginnings! I’ll be there if you are in the Midwest.

Rumor sez the Doobies will be at Texas Motor Speedway for the NASCAR weekend Apr 4,5,6th. I can’t find any
info on this anyplace except in the “Gentlemen Start Your Engines” contest rules where it says
the winner will get to meet the “Doobie Brothers”. Whats the scoop?? Anyone know if they will be
playing? I can’t imagine them appearing at the race and not cranking out a tune or two.
After attending the horrible outdoor concert in Orange Beach AL last summer (the 1st time I can ever
remember a DB concert that I can say was horrible) and I have been to at least 25 shows since
the very early 70’s. I am looking for them to put on an awsome show (ok- sound guys, please
get it right this time) as I have seen in the past.
note- I am a huge fan! If they do play the TMS race it will be a added bonus since I already have
plans to be there. The “Orange Beach Show” of last summer which I took my children and my grand
children to see was a real mess soundwise. The music was so loud and distorted your couldn’t make
out the lyrics or even here the background vocals. That concert did make new fans for the opening act
which was Peter Frampton as my grandchildren squeel with delight when he comes on TV in that
Geico commericail. I had to send them my orig copy of “Framptom Comes Alive” album.
- Before the haters come out and trash me- I do not wear a hearing aid device- If you want to
hear the diaster for yourself check out YouTube where someone posted some video and tunes-
from “Orange Beach” which are all distorted just like I experienced it in person.
So, I am looking forward to the “show” at TMS if there is one, and looking for them to sound
AWSOME as they usually do, I can’t wait—- ROCKIN DOWN THE SPEEDWAY!!!

I sure have enjoyed hearing Little Doobie-Lara, singing on Rock The Cradle. She is bound to go far in this competition and has the support of the fan club, which can’t hurt.
Also very cool that Tommy looked over her acceptance letters from the various Universities that she was accepted in.
